🌿 Yoshiko Yano – Director
Yoshiko Yano is a mother, children’s book author, and the founder of NeuroThrive Australia. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to creating a more inclusive and compassionate world for neurodivergent individuals and their families.
Before founding NeuroThrive, Yoshiko worked in Washington, D.C. in international nonprofit and policy environments engaging with institutions such as the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Congress, and global civil society organisations, supporting initiatives that strengthened democratic participation and civic engagement.
Drawing on her international experience and personal journey as a parent, Yoshiko founded NeuroThrive Australia to create practical, community-based programs that support neurodivergent individuals and help families feel understood, connected, and empowered.
Through her work as an author, advocate, and nonprofit leader, she continues to champion greater awareness, inclusion, and support for neurodivergent communities.
💬 Andrew Polino – Secretary
Andrew is a seasoned journalist and communications specialist with extensive experience in Washington D.C., where he worked on Capitol Hill and engaged directly with Congress.
He has advocated for under-represented communities on a national stage and brings his nonprofit and media expertise to NeuroThrive.
His skill in storytelling and public engagement ensures the organisation’s message is clear, inclusive, and impactful.
💼 Lina Fang – Treasurer
Lina brings a wealth of resilience, business acumen, and life experience to NeuroThrive.
A survivor of China’s Cultural Revolution and one of the few women of her generation to attend university, she went on to build successful careers in logistics and brokerage.
Her diverse background and sharp financial insight ensure that NeuroThrive’s resources are managed responsibly and strategically for long-term impact.
🧠Glenn Shiell – Board Member
Glenn is a seasoned professional in banking and finance, contributing decades of experience in governance, risk management, and strategic planning.
He provides critical oversight to ensure that NeuroThrive’s financial practices and policies remain sound, ethical, and aligned with community needs.
🤝 Peter Hvala – Board Member
Peter is a university lecturer and experienced product designer.
He brings academic insight and creative problem-solving to the board, helping shape programs that are accessible, practical, and inclusive.
Peter is also active in local community initiatives, reflecting NeuroThrive’s spirit of hands-on support and social connection.
